International Women’s Day

Today is International Women’s Day and this year, the theme is #ChooseToChallenge. A particular focus is being put on choosing to challenge gender inequality and choosing to celebrate women’s achievements. Here at Creative Hospitality Group (CHG), we are proud to champion our incredible female employees. Many of whom lead our bar and restaurant teams, head our kitchens and in-house offices, and calve out a future for our business filled with creativity and innovation.

Here are just a few short introductions to our strong female leaders, raising their hands to show they’re committed to #ChooseToChallenge.

Introducing Head of HR, Alexis.
“As the Head of HR, I bridge the gap between the Senior Management Team and our employees. I am responsible for managing the employee life cycle e.g recruiting, training, and retaining employees. I have been with CHG for over ten years now. It really is such a joy to work with so many incredibly strong women. From chefs to general managers and bar staff to everybody working behind the scenes in the offices. We’re a really tight-knit team and the women really are the driving force behind the success of the company.”

Introducing Head of Finance, Jess.
“I provide support on key decisions for CHG whilst managing finances to ensure the heartbeat of the company continues. I have worked for CHG for over two years and one of my favourite memories of my career so far, was the amazing opportunity to travel to Italy with colleagues to visit our Prosecco supplier. It was not only really educational and fun, but it provided invaluable bonding with the team. Respecting your team and each individuals’ values and beliefs is so important.”

Introducing Sales Officer, Melissa.
“As the Sales Officer for CHG, I look after all aspects of sales/bookings for the company, this can vary from table bookings to hen parties and wedding receptions. I work closely with the General Managers at our venues to monitor bookings and look at ways to help increase revenue. My favourite memory working in sales has to be planning and organising Christmas 2019, it was one of the busiest times of the year for bookings, also increasing pre-booked revenue.

Introducing Marketing Manager, Laura.
“As the Marketing Manager for CHG, I look after the complete marketing mix across all of our brands. From posting engaging content to social media, to organising events and creating marketing collateral such as flyers, branded packaging and menus. I work really closely with the sales team to make sure that we’re always maximising customer opportunities and engagement. The highlight of my time at CHG so far was being part of the Swansea Bay Pop-Up. It was a huge success and a time for people to make memories and have fun during such a difficult year.”

We’re proud to be celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day. Let’s choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements. Let’s choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. Let’s choose to create an inclusive world for everybody.
